THE
ROAD GOES
ON FOREVER
(DS009). This
1998 album followed feed back from some very good friends around the
circuit who are never too shy
to say what they want to hear. e.g. “Got any new ones?” ,
“How about a few old favourites”
& “ What about giving the rest of the band a chance to
sing?” We love ‘em all,
this dusty old trail we’re on just goes on forever.

THE
LIVE ALBUM (DS010).
Originally recorded by the band’s outside recording facility
during 1998, straight from
the mixing desk, & not really for commercial purposes. However it was
thought it captured the feel & atmosphere of a typical Country Music
Club, so in late 1999 it was re-mastered at the Bijou Suite recording
studio. Acknowledgements are given to the good people of the “Lonesome
Dove” down in Cornwall, and also “Woodborough Country Music Club” in
Wiltshire, for their help & participation in the making of this album.

A TRIP INTO THE ACOUSTIC (DS011). Jump on this one for a trip down Memory Lane. A bunch of old songs, tried & tested & given a “down home, front porch” feel. All the best country songs tell a story, or paint a picture, or create an emotion. This one covers drinking, saying goodbye, dying, being chased by the law, wild woman, truck driving & unrequited love, what more do you want in a good country album? Not just released to celebrate 30 years in the business, but also a new millennium, and believe it, the sentiments of yesterday are going to be just as relevant in the 21st century. |

JUBILEE (DS008). This album was to mark the band's 25th milestone. A collection of songs put together for a Special Anniversary Show at the Brewhouse Theatre. Although not a live album, the theatre show was recorded live by Radio Bristol. It was originally recorded in 1995 and was available only in cassette form. In 1997 it was re-mastered back at the Bijou Suite studio in Taunton and came out in CD format. |

FEELS SO RIGHT (DS007).Following the success of producing “Looking at the World” as a CD, & the public interest that it generated, it was felt that this old cassette album, the seventh in the collection, was worth another look. This was another from the “Beehive” stable, engineered by Steve“Olly” Owen in 1987, & stood up well to the test of time. Adrian Hill who had finished touring with the band two years earlier, returned once again to add some valuable keyboard. Long-time friend Paraic Dwyer also contributed on keyboards & accordion, & just for fun the band’s hair stylist Neil Bryant added a bit of piano. Once again John Mapledoram at the Bijou Suite Sound Studios in Taunton, did a wonderful job in engineering it into CD format, under the watchful direction of Denver Spur | ||||

| LOOKING AT THE WORLD (DS006). This album is the sixth in the Denver Spur collection. Recorded originally in 1987 at the Beehive Studios, Bridgwater engineered by Steve “Olly” Owen & produced only in cassette form. It was the first album produced by the band as a four-piece outfit, although Adrian Hill, who had finished touring, did come into the studio & gave some valuable input on keyboards. The title song, “Looking at the World”, was written by lead guitarist Paul Thomas, who also takes the lead vocal in his other self-penned song “She’s Feeling Down Again". At the Bijou Suite Sound Studios in Taunton, the album was re-mastered, re-mixed & produced by Denver Spur as a CD, using the engineering skills of John Mapledoram |

SPUR OF THE MOMENT ( DS 005) First recorded at the “Movement” studios in Bridgwater during three dark January days back in 1985, engineered by Bill “Sounds Well” Edwards. This was the band’s first album for the Denver Spur “Big Sound” period, when Adrian Hill was on keyboards for the next two years. Originally produced only in cassette form, this was another from the archives that deserved another look. There’s a good cross-section of interesting material on this one for the “Spur Buff” with Paul taking the lead vocals on a couple of tracks, and even “Cabbage” being persuaded to “do one”. Adrian finishes the set list with his beautifully self-penned piano solo, Kimberley’s Dream. John Mapledoram did a fine job of re-mastering it at the Bijou Suite in 2001, & set things up for production as a CD. |
